Memories

There are places in my heart
You touched without knowing
Memories you didn't know you created
Your place still remains and always will

I pull them out often
Hold them quietly
Wish things had turned out differently

When I think of your voice
A soft whisper on my skin
Remember your laugh
Still brings a smile
Your questions
That will always make me
Stop and look inside myself

I wonder why things didn't work out differently
Maybe it was me
Maybe it was you
I guess I will never know

But.....

Most of all

I wonder where you are
If you are you happy
Have you found what you were looking for

I needed to let you know
That you made My life better
My heart lighter
My outlook happier

So I will keep the memories
Tucked in my heart
In a place
That I can pull them out
When I need
