For me it will not be
I thought that I had found it once
But looking through my eyes
It wasn’t there to see
The tenderness I yearned for
Never touched my heart
The faithfulness I lived for
Was missing from the start
I’ve given up on love
A gift I've never known
I now have closed my heart
And built a wall of stone
So now I am protected
